Artist Statement
Responding to matter as variable to the rationality of the system governing it, this series explores the potentiality for transformation within thermodynamic systems. A branch of natural science concerned with heat and its relation to energy and work, variables such as temperature, internal energy, entropy, and pressure define physiological changes. Re-envisioning phase transitions of various elements, Carly reinterprets their natural forms to redefine the innate impulses of each structure.
