Inspired by our formulaic understanding of energy, that being equal to mass times the speed of light squared, Carly created this series as a visual analogy for the propensity of matter to move in and out of form. Constantly in a state of transformation, energy can neither be created nor destroyed. As an axis to which energy materializes, coming into form upon the act of being seen, she portrays each scene as being grasped at the point of its emergence, caught in a flux between form and fluidity.
